Welcome to Bridgewater's Nursery

Vision

Our Nursery reflects the nurturing and supportive learning environment of our current Early Years provision where your child will grow and thrive.

Our Busy Blog

The Nursery Team consists of Mrs Gilkes (Nursery Lead), Mrs Tortora , Mrs Iaciofano, Miss MacLeod and Lunchtime Supervisor Mrs Sharp.

All members of the team work hard to offer a nurturing and supportive learning environment for the children to thrive and grow. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum with an emphasis on promoting the characteristics of effective learning. This approach fosters a love of learning and provides challenge linked closely to developmentally age appropriate experience.  We strive to create an environment where the children feel confident to explore and discover new things. As a Nursery, we understand that all children are unique and understand the importance of following their individual interests.

Physical Fun!

Due to the lovely weather we have had this week the children have been spending a lot of time in our outdoor area, searching for mini beasts, digging the vegetable beds and using the climbing frames to work on our physical development. The children have been very brave on the monkey bars and they have been practising their counting to see how long they can hold on to the bars. The children initiated some maths this week with measuring each other on our new height chart to see who is taller and smaller, and we have had lots of conversations about growing and what happens as we grow.
